a sweet red bean soup with rice cake, often served on New Year's.
- Soak adzuki beans in water overnight.
- Boil beans and drain water.
- Add 3 cups of water and cook beans until soft.
- Add sugar and cook over slow fire.
- Add pinch of salt and remove pot from heat.
- Grill rice cakes.
- Ladle sweet soup into bowl and add grilled rice cake.
